Vienna School Toolkit

The Vienna School of Negotiation utilizes a structured set of proven methods, models, and tools for the professional analysis, preparation, and execution of negotiations. The Vienna School Toolkit consolidates these instruments and supports negotiators in understanding complex conflicts of interest, gaining strategic clarity, and achieving sustainable, viable results. The toolkit specifically addresses the three key areas of successful negotiation:

Negotiating according to the Harvard concept

A bestseller for over 30 years: The Harvard Negotiation Project's concept of interest-based negotiation focuses on interests rather than positions. Developed by Professor Roger Fisher and his team at Harvard Law School, it offers simple, practical methods and clear strategies for efficiently preparing for and conducting negotiations. These proven tools are used worldwide in politics, business, and finance, forming a key foundation for successful—even difficult—negotiations. This training is designed for executives and professional negotiators.

Process Communication Model

The Process Communication Model® (PCM) is a scientifically validated model for analyzing and shaping human communication. It enables users to recognize communication styles, psychological needs, and behavioral patterns in themselves and others, and to adapt interactions in a targeted and effective way.

PCM distinguishes six personality types, which are present in varying degrees in every person, and provides practical tools for sustainably improving communication, collaboration, and leadership. The model is used worldwide in demanding performance environments, including at NASA, and supports professional communication as well as stable, resilient relationships.

Compassionate Accountability

Drama arises when people – consciously or unconsciously – fight against each other or against themselves to justify their negative behavior. The Vienna School of Negotiation shows people how to invest less energy in drama and instead use more energy to achieve remarkable results.
We train, certify and coach healthy conflict and communication skills – so that companies can develop a culture of Compassionate Accountability™.

01

Identify which behaviors create drama and what consequences arise from them.

02

Strengthen your own perception and responsibility to avoid drama.

03

Create shared guidelines to foster a drama-free atmosphere.

04

In a conflict situation, discuss important issues constructively and resolve them.

05

Promote innovation, goal orientation, and change processes.

In training or coaching, the personal DRA – Drama Resilience Assessment – provides you with insight into your own drama patterns. This allows you to create a concrete action plan to guide yourself and others out of the drama.

Managing Director

What impressed me most was Sonja's ability to make content and connections so tangible that you can apply them directly to everyday life – be it in professional projects, in a team, or in your personal life. Because: life is negotiation – with others and with yourself... as I learned from Sonja.
