Young Negotiator Academy (YNA)

The focus of the YN Academy lies on interactive learning and the exchange of participants, experts and partners.

These 5 day intense program takes place once a year and provides young people with international Keynote-Lectures, working groups sessions, simulations, presentations and Best- Practice-Dialogues. Workshops will be supported by a technology-based negotiation toolbox. Evenings will mainly consist of professional networking events as well as social and cultural encounters.

50-60 participants consisting of students, interested young people and young professionals, active in the field of politics, sciences and business, have the opportunity to enroll in the application process. Based on their qualifications, motivation and dedication they will be selected by a committee of the Vienna School of Negotiation to participate in the program.

Description

The focus of the YN Academy lies on interactive learning and the exchange of participants, experts and partners.

  • During the morning there will be international Keynote-Lectures, throughout the day the participants will be involved in working groups, simulations, presentations and Best-Practice- Dialogues.

  • Workshops will be supported by a technology-based negotiation toolbox.

  • Evenings will mainly consist of professional networking events as well as social and cultural encounters. 

The 5-day-intense program consists of different methods such as the Harvard Concept, the Process Communication Model®, Leading out of Drama (LOD), etc.

Application

The application process consists of 2 steps. First, students and young professionals have the chance to apply by handing in their CV and by showing their talents via a short video or motivational letter. In addition, strategic partners will have the opportunity to nominate a given number of high potentials to send in an application. In a second step, a selected committee of the Vienna School of Negotiation will decide who gets the opportunity to participate in the 5-day-intense program.
