2nd Young Negotiator Academy or Re-imagination of Cooperation

March 1, 2017

“If people can not make a difference, who can?”

Prof. Roger Fisher (Co-author of “Getting to Yes”)

5 days, 10 Vienna School faculty and practitioners, 30 young professionals and one mission: To invite young negotiators to claim their place at the negotiation table, tackling the challenges we face as a society while side by side with negotiators from all backgrounds and across generations.

The Young Negotiator Academy aims to expand the professional and personal skill set regarding communication, cooperation, negotiation, conflict and leadership so that young negotiators raise their voices.

The first three days are dedicated to deep dive into the basics of Harvard's principled negotiations toolkit, preparing deals, conducting diagnostics when stuck, mastering difficulties and crisis, as well as experiencing the power of a process control. The forth and fifth day provide the young negotiators with meaningful insight into the people side in negotiation introducing the Process Communication Model and Next Element's Leading Out of Drama. Each participant received an individual PCM Personality Profile Index (PPI) and the Drama Resilience Assessment (DRA).

Inspiring keynotes, intensive application sessions until late evening, discussions and case simulations as well as best practice exchange characterises the 5-day intense program hosted by the Vienna School of Negotiation at the beautiful Campus of the Vienna's Business University.

The 3rd Young Negotiator Academy 2018 takes place between February 19-23 in cooperation with the graduate program on Strategy, Innovation & Management Control (SIMC) at University of Economics and Business Administration Vienna.
